KINGDOM LEADERSHIP is leadership that personifies the Kingdom of God as exemplified by Jesus Christ's life and work. This leadership demonstrates kingdom ideas, principles, and commands in God's Word. Kingdom leadership stems from Jesus Christ, the most excellent model of leadership.
Jesus is the redeemed's model of leadership. Kingdom men and women are predestined to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ (Rom. 8:29). He died so that more people like Him could be born (John 12:24). God transferred the Spirit of Leadership (the Person of the Holy Spirit) to us so that we could represent Him to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8).
Kingdom leadership, then, is about:
- Serving those who are entrusted to our care while leading the way.
- Stewardship in the marketplace as the leader God entrusted you to be for His glory and the advancing of His Kingdom.
- Empowering those we lead to pursue a greater purpose based upon their God-given destiny.
Developing the people and the workplace as prescribed in the Word of God.
Leadership is about being who we are in Jesus Christ in the context of our marketplace assignment. Therefore, each Kingdom man and woman is responsible for leadership in their spheres of influence.
True greatness, true leadership, is found in giving yourself in service to others, not in coaxing or inducing others to serve you. Spiritual leaders are not elected, appointed, or created by synods or church assemblies. God alone makes them.
